Greetings from Pamdemonia
Hey everyone, I have finally joined the Web 2.0 webolution! It's extremely exciting I must say! Here in the Children's & Youth Team we are gearing up for a very busy time. I am currently weeding & tagging the remaining Christmas books and more will be arriving soon at your branches.
We have the Illustration Competition to judge and then present the winners with their prizes at the Awards Night on Wednesday 26th November. We will be holding a "Peoples Choice Award" too, so please feel free to peruse the entries in the week before the Awards Night, or on the night and cast your vote.
We will catch our collective breaths and then it is time for Santa's visits to our storytimes and Christmas Crafts for the schoolkids. We thought a good idea this year would be to have all the examples and materials displayed so that the students can choose which activities they would like to make. A good way to use up the craft materials in our cupboard.
The Summer Reading Club begins on the 1st of December. The theme is "Get in the Game" and we are keeping that theme for our School Holiday Program. There will be Karaoke Singstar, Board games, Twister, non-competitive games and more.
The Williamstown & Newport Friends of the Libraries Writing Competition also opens on Dec 1st.
